This is a real disaster threatening our lives in the displacement camps. As temperatures rise and living conditions continue to deteriorate, our tents have become overwhelmed by huge numbers of mosquitoes and insects, along with strange reptiles and crawling creatures that find their way into the places where children and families sleep. Our children can no longer sleep because of the constant bites, and fear follows us day and night in tents that provide neither safety nor protection. Our suffering is no longer limited to displacement, hunger, and the extreme summer heat. Insects and reptiles have become an additional danger, threatening our health and safety every single day. We are living in conditions unfit for human beings, and urgent action is needed to protect the thousands of families facing these risks in displacement camps.
