“With these bullets fired by the occupation army from behind the yellow line for amusement, dozens have been killed and injured inside their tents: The child Ahmed was killed while having breakfast with his parents blood burst from his head and mouth. Fatima was killed while breastfeeding her baby. Hala was killed while writing her school lessons. And many others.”

My little girl, Lian, tries to create her own small world of joy inside the tent. With no electricity or television, she found in the tent’s window her own “screen.” She stands before it, dancing and playing, asking me to sit and watch what she calls “the TV.” In every movement, there’s a simple yet painful message: the children of Gaza need life, play, and education—just like all the children of the world.

My little Rakan was killed through no fault of his own by the occupation, hit with American-made missiles. I am very sad for his loss, and my grief is renewed every day as I see new children killed without guilt. But I would be even more heartbroken if the world awarded Trump the Nobel Peace Prize it would shatter my heart and break humanity everywhere. #Gaza #Flotilla

I know that no agreement, no ceasefire, and no talk of peace will ever bring back the innocent face of my child, Rakan. Nor will my daughter, Layan, ever have the chance to live those moments with her brother in this life. This was the greatest crime the occupation committed against my family… but it did not kill Rakan alone. It has killed more than 40,000 children, and behind every child is a family carrying the same pain I carry today, the same emptiness that can never be filled. This sorrow will never leave us. It will continue to haunt every detail of our days and memories, because the tragedy is still ongoing, and because loss here never stops…

The bulldozer was split in half. The very limited equipment available in Gaza is not capable of removing this rubble it requires large, heavy machinery to clear the tons of debris.

The life of a Palestinian — a target in their training field! A scene documents Israeli female soldiers training in the town of Kober, north of Ramallah, to launch grenades at farmers who went out to harvest olives.

Listen to the screams of children and women... Heavy airstrikes are pounding northern Gaza. Thousands of families are trapped under collapsing homes, unable to escape due to destroyed roads, lack of transportation, and no money. The sick and the elderly are enduring an unbearable, catastrophic situation.

While preparing bread with my daughter Layan, I managed to buy just one kilo of flour, which we used to bake 12 loaves using a primitive method over fire. Despite all the hardships and tragedies around us, her laughter as she watched the bread bake was enough to make me forget all the exhaustion. In her eyes, I see life and in her joy, I find a reason to keep going. #Gaza

There is hardly a street in Gaza untouched by heartbreak misery and destruction fill every corner, and the rubble tells the story of lives once lived. This is not just debris; it’s what remains of a tower that once sheltered hundreds of families, reduced to ashes in an instant after a heavy airstrike. People walk through the ruins, faces pale, eyes lost, with no idea where to go. Every stone holds a memory, every speck of dust conceals stolen dreams, silenced children’s laughter, unfinished meals, and a sense of safety buried with the past. Here, beneath this destruction, not only buildings lie in ruin — but lifetimes, hopes, and untold stories are buried too.

I hadn’t cried for a long time… but today my tears fell like a flood. When I returned to my tent after a long day of work, my little daughter Layan ran to hug me, her face full of sorrow. I asked her: “Why are you sad, my love?” She whispered with a trembling voice that cut through my heart: “Why did they kill my brother Rakan? Now I have no one to play with… Why did the Jews kill him? I want to go to heaven to be with him and play with him…” I froze. The world collapsed around me. I had no answer—only bitter tears streaming down my face. Layan has been deprived of her brother’s laughter… just as thousands of children in Gaza have been deprived of their fathers, mothers, brothers, and entire families. I gathered myself, wiped her tears, and said: “Come, Layan, I will be Rakan for you. I will be your playmate.” And we played together until her laughter filled the tent. In that laughter, I found all the meaning of life. Her smile… is the entire world to me. Layan says in the video: "I made a sea and a sun out of clay toys, and I will make a moon, a girl, and a boy… and I’m sending you a kiss."

For the tenth time, my family and I are forced to flee again. My little daughter Layan sits on a cart pulled by a frail donkey, carrying our tent, bedding, and the few belongings we have left, while I walk on foot holding what remains of our things. Ahead of us lies a long, exhausting journey—finding a piece of land to rent, preparing it for shelter, and building a new bathroom. It is truly a draining and overwhelming ordeal, both financially and emotionally. And yet, despite it all, Layan sits smiling, enjoying the ride on the cart, as if her laughter tries to ease the weight of the road for me. Displacement is painful and costly, but we are trying to hold on to life as much as we can. To donate and support us in these difficult times…

I apologize for being absent all day… The rain has flooded our tents, and it’s still falling nonstop. Even my phone was damaged from the moisture, and we’re still enduring the rain until this moment “To donate in order to overcome this disaster.”
