I was honoured to be the only MSP, among so many amazing women speakers, speaking today at the #199DaysLater Demo hosted by Women Won’t Wheesht at the Scottish Parliament. 199 days after the Supreme Court judgment on the the word ‘woman’ and the SNP still rely on faulty pro-trans guidance. It was great seeing so many brave women, from all across Scotland stand in solidarity and demand that John Swinney and his SNP Scottish Government finally implement the law. No matter how many times they try to silence or intimidate us, we will not be silenced. #WomenWontWheesht #WomenWontWait 💜🤍💚

It's been 5 months since the Supreme Court judgment on the definition of the word 'woman' yet the SNP Government are dragging their feet. Today I will be bringing forward a debate, calling on them to drop their dangerous gender ideology and to follow the rule of law. Women won't wheesht and women won't wait. 💜🤍💚

Today, in an Urgent Question, I called out the Cabinet Secretary for Education for refusing to admit her guidance on single-sex toilets at schools allows for biological males to use the girls' toilets. Surprise, surprise, she could not answer my question🫣

Sandie Peggie did nothing wrong. She should never have been dragged through a disciplinary hearing for expressing her concerns about sharing a changing room with a biologically male colleague. NHS Fife must now apologise to Sandie Peggie and John Swinney and his SNP Government must urgently step in and ensure that public bodies are upholding the UK Supreme Court ruling so that such cases are never repeated. #IstandwithSandiePeggie

As the Sandie Peggie tribunal is coming to an end, let's not forget how much she has had to endure. When Sandie was suspended for refusing to share a changing room with a biologically male colleague, she stood firm. This isn’t just about one incident: it’s about every woman defending single-sex spaces #istandwithsandiepeggie

Sandie Peggie may have won her central case against NHS Fife but the ruling was seriously flawed. For instance the tribunal ruled that it was ok for biological males to use women-only changing rooms, even though this goes against April's Supreme Court ruling. That is why I fully support her decision to appeal it. But one must not forget that all of this stems from SNP's embrace of reckless self-ID and gender ideology. John Swinney must ensure that all public bodies follow the law adhere to the Supreme Court's ruling. #WomenWontWheest #WomenWontWait #IStandbySandiePeggie

John Swinney has a brass neck to preach about women’s rights abroad when he has failed women and girls at home time and time again. His government's embrace of self-ID and defiance of the Supreme Court judgement threatens women's rights, safety and single-sex spaces. As you can hear, his SNP colleagues clearly do not care about women in Scotland as they are heckling in the background.

Today in the Chamber, I gave the SNP a lesson about distinguishing between legal and illegal immigration. While legal immigration has many benefits, illegal immigration comes with many costs. We see people, predominantly adult men, arriving to our shores in small boats, lorries and other illegal methods. At a time when Scotland is experiencing a housing emergency, the SNP are forcing hard-working taxpayers to pay millions to house these migrants. The SNP are simply not living in the real world.

Domestic abuse is a scourge right across the country, with 64,000 instances recorded last year. That is one incident every 10 minutes. Today, I am absolutely delighted to announce that my Prevention of Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Bill has been published. My bill has received the backing of so many organisations and survivors of domestic abuse and, if passed, will turn the tide on this abhorrent crime.

The SNP like to pick and choose which issues are important to them. We spent days (and nights) debating the doomed Gender Recognition Reform Bill but when it comes to Ash Regan MSP's Unbuyable Bill they believe that there is no merit for extra discussion. Once again, they are choosing to throw women and girls under the bus 😡😡

I look forward to joining For Women Scotland tomorrow, outside the Scottish Parliament, to call on the SNP Scottish Government to implement the Supreme Court ruling. Women of all backgrounds will be standing shoulder-to-shoulder and in one voice, we will be demanding that John Swinney stops delaying and protects single-sex spaces and services. 💜🤍💚

Public bodies, including the Scottish Parliament, must comply with the law, when it comes to single-sex spaces. The law is the law and nobody is above it. In a call to MSPs, this morning, the EHRC made it clear that public bodies must comply with the law NOW. That is why I am pleased, that despite the calls from certain Members, the Scottish Parliament has chosen to follow common-sense and implement the law.
