For the first time ever, we brought vehicles onchain this past week. OpenVPP has begun building a portfolio of flexible energy resources for grid providers, starting with vehicles in our OpenVPP World Beta. So why does this matter? Energy abundance has always been the cornerstone of societal advancement. Access to energy is directly linked to GDP. Simply put: There are no wealthy countries that don’t also have abundant access to energy. Utilities now, more than ever, are challenged to deliver on data center, EV fleet, and electrification growth all while finding ways to reduce the billions of dollars of planned infrastructure upgrades.
