د نړۍ په مورخینو کي دا خبره مشهوره ده چي: «افغانستان بې سرپوښه میوزیم دئ» دا په دایکندي ولایت کي د ازموک په غرنیزه سیمه کي یوه غره کي پر ډبره د انسان د پښې په څېر ښکاره نخښه ده، سیمه ایزه خلګ افسانه لري چي کوم پهلوان له دې ځای یوه بل غر ته ټوپ وهلی 😉 که څه هم دغسي نخشونه کله ناکله طبیعي ښکاري، خو دومره روښانه ده چي سړی فکر ته اړ باسي. زه ګومان کوم ددې تر شا حتما یوه هېره سوې کیسه سته! تاسي څه فکر کوئ؟ Among historians around the world, there is a saying: “Afghanistan is an open-air museum.” In the Daikundi province, in the mountainous region of Azmok, there is a mark on a rock that looks strikingly like a human footprint. Local people have a legend that a certain hero once leapt from this mountain to another one 😉. Although such markings sometimes appear naturally, this one is so clear that it makes you stop and think. I suspect there is surely a forgotten story behind it! What do you think?

This is Kandahar… the cradle of Ahmad Shah Baba’s state. This area was not merely an ordinary building; rather, it was considered an important center of the state treasury and financial system during the time of Ahmad Shah Baba—a place that effectively held the status of what we would today call a bank. Unfortunately, today we learned that a new plan has been imposed on this historic site and that the building has been demolished. Veteran cultural figures of Kandahar state that this was the place where the wealth of the Ahmad Shahi state, the people’s trust, and the economic affairs of the empire were administered and organized. This building was located in the heart of Kandahar city, next to the Governor’s Office—where every step is history and every brick tells a story. Demolishing such structures without historical research, without documentation, and without respect for Afghanistan’s cultural heritage is nothing but sacrificing history in the name of development. The Mundigak Historical Foundation considers this act a destruction of historical memory.
