The Interior Minister told Ghanaians, live on television, that this particular national security threat had been resolved by the Ghana Immigration Service. Yet when I raise concerns about it, I am labelled Islamophobic. My concern is not about Islam or Muslims. It is about national security, accountability and the safety of Ghana. We must be able to question government decisions and security matters without every legitimate concern being reduced to a religious issue. Their numbers are increasing each and everyday, go to Sabon Zongo in the evening and you will see them getting out from buses. Why? #NationalSecurity #Ghana #Accountability #SecurityFirst #GhanaImmigrationService #PeaceAndSecurity #SpeakUpForGhana

Something is seriously going on in Ghana, but many people have not yet realized the potential danger. A section of Muslims and some Imams are increasingly embracing or promoting Wahhabist teachings, and this development deserves serious attention from our security and intelligence agencies. I am not saying that every Muslim or every Imam subscribes to this ideology. Ghana has millions of peaceful Muslims who have lived with other religious communities for generations. My concern is specifically about the spread of extremist interpretations that can promote intolerance, hatred, violence or rejection of Ghana's constitutional order. If we fail to identify and address genuine signs of violent extremism early, Ghana could face serious security challenges in the years ahead. We must not wait until we experience the kind of insurgency and terrorism that has devastated parts of Northern Nigeria before taking preventive action. This is a national-security warning, not an attack on an entire religion. Ghana must investigate extremist activities, strengthen intelligence gathering, enforce the law without fear or favour, and protect the peace we have enjoyed for generations. Just look at her posture and demeanour #Ghana #NationalSecurity #CounterTerrorism #StopExtremism #RuleOfLaw #PublicSafety #PeaceInGhana #GhanaPoliceService

To the management of Bolt Ghana Boltghana: When the entire Greater Accra Region is experiencing severe flooding, driver safety must come before profits. It is unacceptable for drivers to feel pressured to drive through flooded roads just to maintain acceptance rates or avoid penalties while the platform continues to earn its commission. No trip is worth risking a driver's life, a passenger's life, or the destruction of a vehicle. Bolt should immediately suspend penalties for cancelled trips in flood-affected areas, allow drivers to decline unsafe requests without consequences, and issue clear safety guidance during emergencies. No commission is worth a human life. Safety must always come first. This is your last warning ⚠️ Boltghana We are monitoring your stupidity against drivers who are risking their lives for your 30% commission per every trip

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to bring to the attention of the United States Embassy in Ghana U.S. Embassy Accra a serious security and rule-of-law concern currently unfolding in Ghana. A video currently in the public domain clearly captures a Muslim cleric calling on Muslims to kill anyone who dares to speak against the Prophet Muhammad. The video is publicly available and can be provided for your attention and verification. My concern is not about Islam or Muslims. Ghana is a religiously diverse country, and every citizen has the right to practise his or her religion. My concern is the apparent call for violence against people because of their speech or views, and the failure of the relevant Ghanaian security authorities to take what I consider to be prompt action despite the video being publicly accessible. I am therefore concerned about the implications this development may have for public safety, freedom of expression, religious tolerance and the rule of law. I respectfully urge the Embassy to take note of this development and, within the limits of its diplomatic mandate, encourage the appropriate Ghanaian authorities to investigate the matter promptly, impartially and transparently. If Ghana is committed to the principles of democracy, freedom of expression and equal protection under the law, then those principles must apply regardless of the religious identity, position or influence of the individual involved. I am prepared to provide the publicly available video and any additional information in my possession to the appropriate authorities. Respectfully, Kofi Nunoo-Mensah

Hon. Minister for the Interior and Inspector General of Police, I respectfully call on you to reopen investigations into the Kawukudi incident that occurred two years ago, in which individuals who were part of the Chief Imam's convoy allegedly clashed with officers of the Ghana Police Service. If any persons committed criminal offences during that incident, they should be identified through the available evidence, arrested, and prosecuted in accordance with the laws of Ghana. Justice must be applied equally to everyone, regardless of status, influence, or religious affiliation. No one should be above the law. I respectfully urge you to ensure that this matter is handled impartially and in the interest of justice and public confidence in the rule of law. Ministry of the Interior, Ghana Ghana Police Service

Your Excellency President John Dramani Mahama John Dramani Mahama Warm greetings to you. With the greatest respect, if this particular community was left untouched during the two-day National Sanitation Exercise, then it means we have not fully achieved the objective of the exercise. This area, located just about 2 km from Dansoman Exhibition, remains heavily polluted and has a major storm drain that urgently requires desilting and cleaning. If it is neglected, especially during the rainy season, it could lead to severe flooding, putting lives and properties at risk. Your Excellency, I respectfully appeal to you to direct the Greater Accra Regional Minister, the Mayor, the Member of Parliament, and the Assembly Member to take immediate action. A National Sanitation Exercise should leave no community behind, particularly communities that pose a significant flood risk. As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure. Taking action now will help prevent avoidable disasters and protect the lives and property of Ghanaians. Thank you for your leadership and your commitment to building a cleaner and safer Ghana. Respectfully. #NationalSanitationExercise #KeepGhanaClean #FloodPrevention #GreaterAccra #Accountability #PublicSafety
