I want to be very clear: I’m not encouraging anyone to attack, harass, or go after Dean. We don’t need to do to them what they do to us. Just because we turned the other cheek does not mean we have to stay silent when we see hypocrisy though. It’s ok to point out a double standard. It’s ok to say, “Hey, you demanded evidence and due process for yourself so that same standard should have applied to the people you accused.” I don’t believe these allegations against are true but I also hope Dean walks away from this having learned a valuable lesson: and accusation does not automatically make someone guilty.

The Jane Doe case is NOT black and white. There are serious allegations that deserve to be investigated, but there are also serious questions about the timeline, the text messages, and what happened after she was disinvited from the fraternity party. On one side she could have processed what happened to her weeks later and on the other it could be fabricated to protect her reputation. I’m waiting for all of the evidence to come out before fully forming an opinion.

A salon tried to accommodate a Muslim customer’s religion requirements, offered an after hours appointment to guarantee privacy, and still ended up with multiple one star reviews. If a business genuinely tries to accommodate you, where does reasonable accommodation end?? Because you can ask for an accommodation.. but you cannot reasonably demand something the business cannot guarantee.
