Wueh! Today, we have witnessed something very unfortunate. The President of the Republic, the Head of State has stooped so low as to insult and body shame a fellow Kenyan. And not just any Kenyan, but a man who has remained consistently respectful to him in his public engagement, even while raising critical questions of national importance. Instead of addressing Fred Matiang’i’s very valid concern as to why the State House budget has ballooned to Ksh 17 billion, even as capitation to schools is reduced, and as our national referral hospitals struggle with broken equipment and inadequate support for patients, the response we get is insults? This is a new low, even by the standards we have unfortunately come to expect. All in all, Matiang’i’s question still stands, untouched by insults and distractions. What exactly is Ksh 17 billion at State House being used for?

What is Oburu Odinga saying? Complains that their win was stolen, yet working with the man they claim stole it? Then in less than one minute he says that they left Azimio a long time ago and that Azimio is dead. In the same breath he says that Uhuru cannot make decisions in Azimio without ODM and asks him to leave them alone. Seconds later he says that ODM is the most important party in Azimio. Adds that they will exit Azimio (future tense), never mind that he started by saying they left Azimio when they joined broadbased.
