Lassie was saved from a dog meat truck on its way to a slaughterhouse. Last year, she found her happily-ever-after when she was adopted in the UK, where she’s been thriving and radiating joy ever since. Just before Christmas, Lassie paid a heartwarming visit to a local nursing home, where she charmed the residents with her loving nature and proved to be a wonderful therapy dog. #DogMeatTradeSurvivor

We rescued Klaus from a dark dog butcher’s den in northern China. He was caged right beside the kill floor, pacing in panic — I can only imagine what he must have witnessed. After his rescue, Klaus underwent surgery to remove several tumours and was quickly written off by local vets as terminally ill. For a long time, he remained stuck, but when we finally moved him, we discovered the truth — he wasn’t terminally ill, and the tumours never returned. Then came the best news: Jennifer from Safe Haven Inu Rescue offered Klaus a place in the Netherlands. And now, look at him — that smile says it all. He has all the toys he could ever want and enjoys peaceful countryside walks. Klaus is beaming with happiness, finally living the life he always deserved. We’re endlessly grateful to Jennifer and to everyone who helped make his life-changing freedom flight possible. 🌷❤️ #DogMeatTrade #DogMeatTradeSurvivor

Gorgeous ALDO was rescued from Yulin dog meat festival. He is a medium sized dog weighing 15kilos and very friendly with humans and dogs. He has very cute markings that looks like he has 2 white socks on his from legs. He plays nicely and socializes well with other dogs in a group. A happy soul that would be a great addition to any family home. He has lot of energy and would be a perfect adventure buddy. Interested in adopting pls email info@pawsofchina.org

She recently had cataract surgery and can finally see the world clearly again. Now a partner rescue in Germany is ready to welcome her home — we just need to get her there. A quick update post on a dog called Magic , rescued on the main day of the #Yulin dog meat festival.. He was in the groomers last week and you can see from his face - he is happy to be alive and he also will be up on the website for adoption soon. We are currently #4 witb 13,535 votes on my giving circle , you can vote once a week but we really need to keep our votes up to stay in the top 10 . ‼️The big guns are fast approaching the top 10 and it’s usually the same rescues that win due to their ardent voters! Every vote counts, we are a just small org, with no paid employees. All donations go towards the dogs ongoing care and flights out of china. please take 1 minute to vote 🗳️ ➡️

After leaving Yulin, North spent 2 long months in the vet hospital battling for his life against the distemper virus. Against all odds, he survived. Last December, he took the final step in his journey to healing—flying to Germany to meet his forever person. Today, North is renamed Schorsch and thriving. He lives a peaceful, joy-filled life, completely adored by his guardian. After everything he’s endured, North is nothing short of a miracle. From crisp autumn walks 🍂 to snowy winter adventures ❄️ to carefree summer strolls ☀️—this golden girl has embraced her second chance at life with the brightest heart. Her family affectionately calls her their “Velcro dog,” always by their side, and she’s blossomed with patience and love. Even more beautifully, she has become a guide and companion to Howard, who is deaf, following him everywhere and showing the gentle soul she truly is. Looking at her now—those bright eyes, so carefree and blissfully content—it’s hard to imagine what she went through in China.
