After one of our TD’s was assaulted, Gript’s editor published an article refusing to condemn the attack. He wrote: “I don’t care if Paul Murphy got a kick…eventually someone is going to kick a socialist. If only because in the moment, doing so might feel cathartic.” We will not legitimise or normalise a platform built on rage-bait, misinformation, and a consistent refusal to disown or distance itself from violence. This among the countless other examples which differentiate Gript from other genuine news outlets, like their donations to right-wing parties or their platforming of individuals who attempted to infiltrate and smear the repeal campaign, is why we will be giving them no comment in future. It is our belief doing otherwise will negatively contribute to the dangerous political climate across Ireland effecting many groups targeted by Gript’s editorial line.

Grip̶t- GriFt are a wannabe Fox News. They pretend to care about free speech to push a hateful agenda. Yet far right protesters go to libraries to take books off shelves, and GriFt haven't condemned it once - so much for "defending free speech". Stand against their division.

Green Parties in France, Netherlands, Switzerland and Malta have backed free public transport. But the Irish Green Party laugh at the idea. Why? The Green Party in Ireland has abandoned any idea of ambious climate policy because they are weddd to FF/FG and so called `market solitions' like carbon taxes. In many countries and cities across Europe climate activists, socialists, transport workers & commuters have fought together and won fare free public transport. It has been a huge success, cutting emissions and putting money back in people's pockets. Why shouldn't we do the same here? Fine Gael have kicked off this election by Laughing and jeering at teachers with a multi-millionaire CEO. They have perfectly illustrated to the country who exactly they are and the utter contempt they have for ordinary people. When they tell you what they think about working people, listen to them and believe them. They think Ireland should just be run by the millionaires and the landlords, not teachers or ordinary working people. The government don’t care about the housing crisis because they represent the interests of the crisis - those profiting from it, the speculators who crashed the economy in 2008, the landlords who have evicted tens of thousands of people since the crash and the vulture funds who feed off our vulnerabilities and ensure working people are out-competed for homes again and again.
