The Plant for Pakistan Campaign, has been kicked off under Green Pakistan Initiative, by Special Investment Facilitation Council, aimed at restoring the land allocated for planting forests in the country and to promote plantation. Under the Plant for Pakistan drive, a comprehensive plan has been implemented to promote plantation, reduce pollution and check encroachment in different districts including Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Hazara and Malakand Divisions and district Poonch and Muzaffarabad. Spearheaded by provincial governments and supported by diverse stakeholders, the campaign focuses on establishing nurseries, enhancing green infrastructure, and bolstering the timber industry.
