A woman recently went viral for using a window sign during a traffic stop, part of a small trend where drivers display cards asserting their rights instead of speaking to police. The sign correctly cites the right to remain silent, refuse a search, and request a lawyer, but its claims about not handing over a license are legally shaky in most states and can lead to charges for non-compliance. thought on this?

Jonah Hill spent four years shaping Mid90s as a semi-autobiographical first film, shooting it on Super 16mm in a 4:3 ratio to match the look of 90s skate videos he grew up around. He cast real skateboarders instead of traditional actors and worked with Illegal Civilization’s Mikey Alfred, with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross creating a minimal, era-specific score.

“The girl who didn’t take a shower since Kurt Cobain died” (1996) In the spring of 1996 a senior in high school made a short film documenting the lives of a group of girls in grade 8. These girls were notorious for their “crass” behaviour and alleged bad hygiene. These assumptions caused them to be socially ostracized by their classmates at school. Everyone in the schoolyard held strong opinions about these so-called “dirty girls,” and meanwhile the “dirty girls” themselves aimed to get their message across by distributing their zine across campus.
