The problem is context. Playing in empty stadiums, against players of the same age, doesn’t prepare you fast enough. Real development comes from playing away at Exeter, in front of 20, 30, 40 thousand people, under pressure, noise, responsibility — real life. That’s how players are challenged. That’s how they grow. Talent needs competition.
