A 69-year-old Hamilton man has been charged after a fatal hit-and-run in Mississauga that claimed the life of a man in his 60s. The victim was struck near Winston Churchill Boulevard and Dundas Street just before 6 p.m. on Sept. 29. The driver left the scene, and the man later died from his injuries. The suspect was arrested the next day, and police have seized the vehicle believed to be involved. We each have a part to play in road safety, and that means remaining at the scene of a collision. Investigators are still looking to speak with a motorist who may have interacted with the accused in a nearby Home Depot parking lot shortly after the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Major Collision Bureau at 905-453-2121, ext. 3710. To learn more about this story, visit:

This is an actual call our communications team received. While we can laugh at the absurdity of it, the reality is that tying up 9-1-1 for a bad hotel experience puts actual lives at risk. If you are ever unsure if your situation is an emergency, but it is NOT life-or-death or a crime in progress, please use our non-emergency line: 905-453-3311 Let's keep 9-1-1 open for those who truly need it.

What may seem like a few moments of fun can have serious consequences. Stunt driving and donuts in public spaces are not just disruptive, but dangerous for pedestrians, businesses, and other road users. After receiving reports of stunt driving at a local plaza, officers responded, and the vehicle was towed. Our message is simple: If you choose to spin, be prepared to lose your ride. Respect the road. Respect the community. Choose safety over stunts because everyone deserves to get home safely. This is how we do it. To learn more about this story ➡️

On Dec. 3, 2025, four masked individuals wearing all-black clothing and carrying hammers were seen entering Erin Mills Town Centre. Mall security and an on-site paid-duty police officer spotted the suspects and pursued them. Security apprehended one of the suspects, while the other three escaped in a stolen Honda CR-V. No injuries were reported, and no property was stolen from the mall. Great collaborative work between Security and Police. Don’t worry. We caught them! Stay Tuned for Part 2
