Today, I had a warm and highly productive meeting with the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, at the Presidential Palace in Ankara. Our discussions focused on further strengthening the 🇸🇰🤝🇹🇷 Slovak–Turkish Strategic Partnership, which offers tremendous potential for both our countries. As our economic ties continue to grow, we agreed to explore new opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, defense, energy, and the nuclear sector. We also exchanged views on the security situation in the #MiddleEast and Russia’s war against Ukraine. Both Slovakia and Türkiye remain committed to peaceful solutions and dialogue. Slovakia stands ready to support Türkiye’s diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting stability, security, and lasting peace in the region and beyond. I look forward to continuing our close cooperation and building on today’s excellent discussions.

Had the privilege of visiting the headquarters of Baidu, a remarkable center of innovation and technological leadership. The organization’s culture reflects a clear vision for the future, supported by exceptional talent, ambitious thinking, and a relentless focus on advancing the frontiers of technology. It was particularly insightful to engage with teams driving transformative initiatives across multiple domains and to gain a deeper understanding of how innovation is translated into real-world impact at scale. Experiencing a ride in an autonomous vehicle was especially compelling, providing a firsthand perspective on the maturity of the technology and its potential to redefine mobility in the years ahead. Meeting 🇮🇳 Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi at his official residence. This was the first-ever reception of 🇸🇰 #Slovak Head of State there — a historic milestone for Slovakia–India ties. 🇸🇰🇮🇳 I congratulated him on an exceptionally well-organised #IndiaAIImpactSummit2026 that brought together leaders, innovators and business to scale AI responsibly and strengthen 🌍global collaboration. We agreed AI must be democratised so it benefits people — not only a few. It was a pleasure to receive Ambassador Apoorva Srivastava for her farewell audience today. 🇸🇰🇮🇳 I thanked her for her dedicated service and valuable contribution to strengthening relations between Slovakia and India. During her tenure, our countries reached a new level of engagement, marked by the visits of President Droupadi Murmu to Slovakia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Slovakia, and my own visit to India. I wish Ambassador Srivastava every success in her future diplomatic endeavors.

It was an honour to meet again with President Droupadi Murmu. This time in New Delhi at Presidential Palace - Rashtrapati Bhavan. I warmly recalled her State Visit to Slovakia in April 2025, which created real goodwill and opened new space for deeper cooperation between our countries. 🇸🇰🇮🇳 We will build on this momentum with education and skills, stronger people-to-people links, and inclusive technology that empowers everyone.
