The flaw in Jonathan Miller's point is that he supposes that the receiving native population would be devoid of thought or response prior to non-natives moving in, and only the words or deeds of a public figure can implant them. Powell, rightly, refutes that assertion. We've seen the same nonsense being spouted by Starmer, O'Neil and Ed Davey after the events in Belfast this week.
