And finally… Last night’s live on the News at 10 for ITV News brings an end to my time as Scotland correspondent. Now moving to Brussels for a new adventure with the Al Jazeera English team. Excited for all the stories ahead, and I’ll still be posting our reports here.

It’s a valid point. When concerns were raised, SNP did not investigate Peter Murrell. In fact, they aggressively denied money was missing. It took a member of the public contacting police. Even then, Sean Clerkin was publicly mocked by senior figures close to Murrell & Sturgeon.

First interview with new Reform leader in Scotland was a bit unusual… We asked if he’d repeat his party’s campaign claim that Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar had said he would prioritise the Pakistani community. Other politicians condemned it. What about Malcom Offord? Reform, of course, pride themselves as being the party of free speech.

Should Scotland have an inquiry into grooming gangs? Survivors told me they first want an independent rapid, 3 month audit to establish the scale of the issue, similar to Baroness Casey’s in England. This is what the FM told me today. Note: a Scottish Gov spokesperson swiftly clarified the FM has not instructed Police Scotland to conduct a rapid audit. The audience can see for themselves the full, unedited interview below - it was cut short at about 1 minute 45 seconds, not 3 mins. And it was ended at the point we said we’d ask our own questions, with Malcolm Offord saying “that’s not what we want to talk about.” Glad to hear there’ll be more opportunities for robust interviews, but hopefully Mr Offord will also agree he won’t (and nor should any political party leader) be able to decide what the questions are now he’s running for election to public office.
