The sight of Punch-kun being carried on the back of his friend is so adorable 🐒♡ I'm really glad that Punch-kun was able to get along with his friends 😭 He's so cute that I just want to keep watching him forever!

Little Panchi-kun has no idea how much the world truly loves him. 🐒❤️ Sometimes the smallest creatures carry the biggest stories. In a quiet corner of a Japanese zoo, a tiny monkey named Panchi kun has touched hearts around the world. With wide curious eyes, he gently hugs a soft plush toy... a simple comfort that has become deeply meaningful. Panchi kun was abandoned by his mother shortly after birth. Caring zookeepers stepped in and raised him by hand so he would not grow up alone. Later, when he joined other monkeys, bonding proved difficult. To comfort him, staff gave him a stuffed toy... and he began holding it close every day. Visitors from many places now come hoping to see the gentle little monkey with his plush companion. The moment feels quiet but powerful. His story reminds people that comfort can be simple... sometimes love appears as something soft, familiar, and safe in small arms.

Punch looked a little nervous today… but he still came to drink water. 🐒💧 As he leaned down to the stream, his orange plush toy stayed right behind him — almost like a quiet little protector watching over him. He looked around carefully. Slow. Gentle. A little unsure. Maybe he still remembers the days when he felt alone. Maybe he just needs something familiar close by. So he drinks… while his tiny “guardian” waits behind him. If you still love little Punch, share this moment so people don’t forget him.

July 26, 2025. A baby macaque is born at Ichikawa City Zoo during one of the worst heatwaves Japan had seen in years. His mother, exhausted and in distress, cannot care for him. She leaves. Nobody was legally obligated to do what happened next. Nobody issued an emergency order. Nobody called a press conference. Two zookeepers — Kosuke Shikano, 24 years old, and Shumpei Miyakoshi, 34 years old — simply looked at a one-day-old baby monkey and decided he was worth saving. They made a clinical diet plan for him. They regulated his body temperature. They provided sensory stimulation to encourage normal development. They tried rolled-up towels, blankets and multiple stuffed toys until he grabbed the IKEA orangutan and refused to let go. They built his entire sense of safety from scratch, one bottle feed at a time, one keeper's leg at a time, for six full months before he ever met another monkey.

A reporter from Stars and Stripes made the trip to Ichikawa Zoo. 🐒She wrote: "Monkey Mountain requires no map. Punch has turned this small zoo into a pilgrimage site. "People are taking trains from Tokyo. Flying from America. Traveling from across the world. For one tiny monkey who doesn't know any of this is happening. He's just up there on his mountain — playing with rocks. Living his life. And somehow — that is more than enough to bring the whole world running. 🤎✨
