The eruption produced a voluminous plume that rapidly rose to 3,000 meters above the vent and drifted west-southwest. The event was immediately followed by continuous ash emission that persists until posting time. ATM: Ongoing grassfire happening at the southwest portion of Taal Volcano Island, directly affecting the Binintiang Munti (VTBM) Observation Station. The station's IP camera, as well as the IP camera at VTAG in Agoncillo, Batangas, recorded the fire's initial spread at 11:24 AM. VTBM has been affected by similar grassfires before, such as on 03 March 2023 and 02 May 2024, that were started by kindling. PHIVOLCS is closely monitoring the situation and is coordinating with the DRRMCs of Batangas Province. Alert level 1 prevails over Taal Volcano. #TaalVolcano
