Under this Liberal Prime Minister, FDI stands for “foreign direct illusions.” The truth is that there is more investment leaving than coming and a big part of what’s coming is just foreign takeovers—a simple change of ownership from Canadians to foreign buyers without building anything new. That’s why I call BS. We need an Economic Action Plan that sparks real investment in building new assets that generate real income for our people:

Today's announcement on LNG Phase II is long-delayed good news. But this project got its permit a decade ago, because of the Harper government. Bad Liberal policies delayed its construction, which has still not begun. Over the same period, the U.S. built, not announced but built, 9 LNG terminals. Germany built an LNG import terminal in 194 days. Instead of taking credit for work done by others long ago, Carney should explain why it took him so long to do so little. The solution is to pre-permit shovel-ready zones. Axe the industrial carbon tax. Get government out of the way and let Canadian workers build. Now:

The higher the diesel prices are at home, the more Canadians pay for groceries and everything else that moves by truck. We should not be paying 26¢/L more for diesel than Americans. Let's cut all fuel taxes and boost refining to save you money and jobs and fuel ourselves in Canada with our own energy:
