When social services receive a report of a child abusing an animal while the parents film and condone it, they view it as a critical red flag for severe emotional abuse, neglect, and parental failure to protect. Public child welfare agencies and organizations like the National Link Coalition explicitly recognize "The Link", the proven connection between animal cruelty and domestic violence or child abuse.
