My tips for pouring the perfect German Helles 🇩🇪 • Always use a clean glass (mine was chilled in the fridge) • Beer should be properly cold, around 6–8°C is ideal • Pour faster and more aggressively than a traditional lager • Start with a slight tilt, then straighten the glass sooner • You WANT to create a good, thick head • Don’t be scared of the foam, it’s part of the beer • A good head helps retain carbonation and aroma • DO NOT slowly pour it down the side of the glass, speed the pour up! Fast pour. Big head. Proper German Helles 🍻
