The LPS (Low-Pressure System) over the Bay of Bengal looks a little abnormal. It lacks the typical characteristics of a monsoon LPS. It appears to be some kind of hybrid system with a mix of tropical and extratropical nature.

Intense rainfall likely over East India with the formation of LPS over Bay of Bengal during 28 May to 3 June. Mountains regions of Sikkim, Arunachal and Meghalaya may receive some serious rainfall.
