This officer was polite and seemed to be doing her job as professionally as she could. But it was wildly unprofessional for the NYPD NEWS traffic management plan to require the extra cops to all individually drive and park their personal cars in the core congested zone.

This NYPD NEWS car parked illegally on the sidewalk was creating a bad choke point for pedestrian traffic and wasn't wide enough to meet accessibility requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act. It also had an expired safety inspection and didn't even have a placard.

The "combat parking" (cute name for illegally parking on our public sidewalks) is necessary, the NYPD NEWS tells us, so that they can respond quickly to emergencies. That's why they keep all of those illegally parked cars ready to respond at a moment's notice? #NYPDinsurrection

This dirty cop saw one of our contributors take some pictures of one of their cars parked illegally on top of the hollow sidewalk right next to a sign warning not to do that. So he harassed them and then decided to get into his SUV and tried to threaten them with the vehicle.
