Today we are unveiling a new system that we have been working on behind the scenes for Bellum: The Bellum After Action Viewer. Soon players will be able to rewatch full matches from start to finish, and analyze nearly every single detail from the match they just played in real-time. Every coordinated movement, every bullet shot, every frag thrown, every rocket launched, and more.

Armor plates in Bellum don't just stop rounds: they transfer blunt force trauma through simulated back-face deformation. Plates are modeled as ESAPI: ceramic strike face with UHMWPE backing. Every hit weakens the plate based on the round's energy, mass, core material, and where it lands. Tight groupings break a plate faster than loose ones, and heavy rounds like 7.62x54mmR tear through far quicker. Overpenetrate a target and the round starts breaking the plate on the far side. Red spots show local ceramic damage. Plate color shows overall integrity.
