Oct. 21 is National Archive Day, and few things matter more to Playboy than our archive. Seventy-three years of issues still shape the stories we tell today, thanks in large part to Archives Director Christie Hartmann, who keeps that history alive. To mark the occasion, Christie pulled one of her favorite shoots: Shig Ikeda's "Surreal Ladies." Working with a 4x5 camera, Ikeda built dream-like scenes "piece by piece, on a single sheet of film," she says, layering images in a process that could take months. Tap to see the full shoot:

Turns out the biggest threat to Gen Z's sex life might be sleeping just down the hall. The latest Playboy Sex Survey, conducted in partnership with The Kinsey Institute and Julie, found that nearly a third of 18-to-29-year-olds still live with their parents. Among them, 64 percent haven't had sex in three months. Get a place of your own and that number drops to 27 percent. Senior Editor Magdalene J. Taylor makes the case that the so-called sex recession is really a housing crisis in disguise. Read the full report: Executive Producer, Video: Daniel Waynick Editor, Video: Celine Ordioni
