Abdul Carter: Grown man answer “Some things are bigger than football, and this is one of those things. Jaxson is one of our leaders. He’s the face of our franchise. He not only represents himself in what he does, but he represents all of us. And that goes for anybody who wears a Giants uniform. But if he chooses to align himself with a man like President Trump, it’s my responsibility based on what I believe and what I stand on to not only show my teammates that I’m against that but to show the world. “That doesn’t mean that we have to spread hate. How close was Wink Martindale to being the Jets’ defensive coordinator? “I think it was close. I’ve always respected and I like Aaron Glenn. He’s a good dude, and we think a lot alike on a lot of similar things defensively. But just to be honest with you, I think it was one of those decisions that was out of his hands, and we’ll just leave it at that. But that’s OK. Wink Martindale, who worked as John Harbaugh’s DC In Baltimore, says the new Giants head coach will approach the NFL Draft with an eye trained on specific matchups against the NFC East foes New York has to beat: “The first question whenever you bring up a player is, ‘How is he gonna help us beat Philly? Giants ownership & Joe Schoen enabled or oversaw all of Brian Daboll’s biggest mistakes, including the staff mismanagement that led Wink Martindale (the reason for the team’s improved game management in 2022) to resign. The organization has a 5-22 record (.185 win %) since. If the Giants owners are serious about returning this franchise to respectability, Schoen must be next to go #talkinball

Just had Adam Schefter on Talkin' Ball with Pat Leonard. He told me "there is no way in hell that the #Giants are giving up the third overall pick for Matthew Stafford" if trade talks ever occur. But it might not even come to that. Schefter said the #Rams' "first priority" is to re-sign Stafford, and they believe at the moment they can work something out.
