Rusalka’s jacket is such a cool mix of military and modern style, so finding a way to translate her design into a real life fabrication was an interesting process! I worked long and hard ordering several fabric swatches to find the right shade of ‘kiwi’ green canvas. The key to making the fabric believable is the weathering, so you’ll find lots of sepia airbrushing throughout this project. Everything is custom patterned, all the way down to the shoes. Sayakat Cosplay constructed her pants, and I spent time airbrushing those with sepia tones as well to bring everything together. We’ve still got some major (pun intended) pieces to show you on this costume, but TennoCon is right around the corner!!! Will we see you there?
