Pride Month is over. Take 60 seconds and remember that the fight for equality wasn’t about gender fluid freaks, big corporations or the trans mob. I was 15 in 1977 when I first entered Studio One in WeHo. At 18, I was making monthly trips to the Castro. I know our history. The men we lost would be angered by how they’ve been erased and they’d fight it! There was nothing queer about them. Today’s Gay men inherited a birthright of masculinity and our own spaces. Take pride in that and restore what’s yours.
