In a temple in Gujarat, Dalit women were prevented from entering by women from the upper-caste community. This is happening in Gujarat, in Modi’s Gujarat, in Amit Shah's Gujarat. First of all, I want to ask the Dalit community: why do you want to go to these temples? Where you are beaten, where you’re treated as untouchable, where even your daughters face violence. Look at the priest who raped a young girl in Delhi and is now in prison. So, why do you want to go to these temples? Secondly, this is the beginning of the so-called Hindu Rashtra. This is the start of what they call a Hindu nation; they want to drive certain people out of the country, bring back the Varna system, and reimpose Manusmriti.
