Bindura Mayor Cllr Jacob Gwature appeared at the Harare Magistrates Court this morning & has been remanded in custody to Tuesday 26th of September 2023. Cllr. Gwature, like many of our leaders & officials faces fictitious charges dating as far back as 2021. On Tuesday, the 26th of September 2023, we urge our supporters to fill up the Court in solidarity with the Mayor as well as to demonstrate our dismay & opposition against the abuse of state institutions to undermine the will & choices of the people of Zimbabwe. To restore & retain the people's trust & confidence , our Courts must refuse to be reduced to ZANU PF's instruments of persecution. The courts ought & must be seen to be carrying our justice without fear or favour. His Legal Advisor Enerst Jena is of the opinion that this is not a criminal matter & must be before a civil not a criminal Court, and rightly so. We are however are that this has been brought before the criminal Court to persecute & try to tarnish Cllr Gwature's reputation. #FreshElectionsZW #FilltheCourt #Solidarity

I hold a high level of respect for a group of entrepreneurs, presumably headed by Strive Masiyiwa, Nigel Chanakira, Shingai Mutasa, Nicholas Vingirai, Dr. Julius Makoni and others. These were exceptional, sincere and devout business leaders who have maintained their integrity and affection for Zimbabwe. Help me salute them!

The ball is now with us the leadership of the opposition, Civil Society, Students, Workers, Vendors and churches to stand up and lead and for the generality of the Citizens of Zimbabwe to rise up and put a stop to CAB3 madness. The dice is set!

While others are signing autocracy into law, President Hakainde Hichilema has today entrenched the right to education into the echelons of the Zambian constitution and stated that no person in the future should be able to reverse that right. He also argued that free education will not compromise the quality of education if implemented properly. Here is a leader who has defined his legacy and helped all children of Zambia to gain access to free primary and secondary education.
