Right now, Russia is shelling the drowning Kherson and flooded coastal areas, preventing rescuers from evacuating the population. At the same time, they are not even trying to evacuate people in the occupied territories. People are sitting on the rooftops without food or water, exposed to the sun and shelling. I would like to remind you that Russian propaganda considers Kherson and the coastal villages as its territories and their local population as "Russians". In reality, Russia hates the local population. It hates them because they refused to welcome them with open arms. Just as Russia hates everything about Ukraine. Russia's recent missile strikes on Ukrainian territory (and in particular the massive strikes on #Poltava, #Sumy, #Lviv) clearly indicate a change in "missile tactics". Strikes are carried out strictly on city centers, on residential neighborhoods or compact housing developments, as well as directly on educational/medical institutions. Strikes can be twin strikes (one civilian target - double strike after some pause to cover a rescue civilian mission). Absolutely an elaborate tactic for large-scale deliberate destruction of civilians. The goal is obvious: to intimidate, to shock, to prove that there are no limits to direct genocidal practices. Such strikes are a direct consequence also of the "phenomenon" that international jurisdiction does not work; there are no punishments, no isolations, and the supply of anti-missile weapons to #Ukraine, the joint build-up of the Ukrainian anti-missile system, and the lifting of bans on strikes deep inside #Russia are still problematic...
