Taofeek Adegoke is from Ibadan, Oyo State. He was born and raised in Anambra State. His parents and siblings speaks more of Igbo than Yoruba. His intonation has changed from Yoruba to Igbo. Igbo people love him and named him Igwe. He says he feels more at home in the East than at Ibadan. Those of us that travel see a lot of incredible things 😂

Khadija Abubakar from Bauchi State is fluent in both Hausa and Igbo. She says if asked to choose between Bauchi and Enugu, she will choose Enugu. She even has an Igbo name. Onyinyechukwu (God's gift) given to her my her mum. Demarketing a part of Nigeria is demarketing the whole of Nigeria. Let that sink in.

Abiodun Adesanya is from Ososa, in Ogun State. He came from a poor background and not wanting to live a reckless life, he chose to come to Lagos at Lawanson for apprenticeship from an Igbo man. He not only became a champion in the sales of Volkswagen parts, his master became a father figure for him and did his marriage for him. He learnt to speak Igbo fluently and began travelling during December to Nnewi and other eastern towns. He has since been to Egypt, Dubai etc. Beautiful stories like this exist among different tribes in Nigeria. Kindly share yours with is in the comment section.

THE AMAZING STORY OF BOLANLE WASIU. She was born in Enugu to a family of 5 girls and two boys. She was the only one that her father gave tribal marks. Her elder sisters (2) married Igbo men and settled happily in the East. Her Dad didn't want to lose all his children to Igbo so he insisted she had to come home to marry a Yoruba man. She is happily married to a Yoruba man who I know here in Lagos. Though her father succeeded in taking her out of lgboland, he couldn't take Igbo away from her. She lives and sells around Ladipo market, a place with so many Igbo people. I called her today and asked her why she is always around Igbo people. She said their character aligns with hers. That Igbo people are good to her. If you speak ill about Igbo people around her, you will regret it. I have noticed this pattern among people born in Igboland who are not Igbo. Same applies to people born in Yorubaland, Hausaland, Idomaland, Nupeland etc who are not from there. They see what we don't see and passionately defend the place. Kindly have a listen.

Oba Yoruba of Enugu Alhaji Abdulazeez Adebayo Olateju came to Enugu in 1979. His grandma wept because she believed that he would be eaten up. Fortunately, she lived to witness him prosper and also bring in many family members to Enugu where they are flourishing. He is fluent in Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa. His children also bear Igbo names.

Engr. Abdul Ibrahim is a Hausa man from Zaria. He speaks Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo and a little of other languages. His Yoruba friends have become like family members to him and the Igbo named him Tochukwu and also gave him an Igbo title. He says Igbo language opens doors for him. Ọba Abdulrazak Olahan is the Ọba Yoruba in Awka, Anambra (ceremonial). He speaks perfect Awka dialect. In this interview, he took his time to thank the numerous Igbo traditional rulers who have been of immense support to him. And he did this in Igbo language. He has been in Igboland for 54 years!

Adesanmi Adewole Uche is a prince from Ile-Ife, Osun State. His mother is from Orlu in Imo State. He is fluent in both Yoruba and Igbo. He however learnt Igbo from his maternal grandmother who told him that learning multiple languages will open doors for him. And that is exactly what happened. Rotimi Arogbo from Okiti Pupa, Ondo State schooled at Unizik and worked his NYSC to Anambra because he saw Igboland as a land flowing with "milk and honey". He says if you are not lazy, Igbo man will give you opportunities to flourish. By the way he is the Vice Chairman of Car Dealers Association in the whole of Anambra State. This is the full video. I shared a snippet about 2 months ago. I had shocks from this interview: 1. I met my guest, Yusuf Abubakar from Kano collecting money on the street from tricyclists in Igboland. 2. In this area alone, Carter Street and its environs, Ogui, Enugu, there are over 4OO tricycles operated by Northerners. 3. He sent his Hausa wife to an Igbo woman to learn how to prepare his best igbo food "Abacha". Why then do they tell us that Igbos dominate and suppress others from growth?

Kayode Oladele Chukwuemeka is an Ekiti man who speaks Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba very well. His father was a soldier who spoke 17 languages. He married his mother who is from Aboh-Mbaise, Imo State and they all spoke Igbo at home in the East. He learnt Yoruba when he was brought home to Ekiti and learnt Hausa at Yobe State.
