My delusional hopes that we get a HotS revival announced at Blizzcon are getting less and less delusional by the day. Like, surely a skin with custom VFX isn't being developed *this* late into the game after the sundown announcement.

Some crazy interesting voice lines from Echo when she copies Emre and uses his ult. She *seemingly* gets taken over by the Conspiracy, and doesn't understand what's going on when the ult ends. @OW2voicelines

Engineering might be super sub-par in Midnight, but it does have one amazing thing: an embellishment that causes races with special jump animations to ALWAYS use that special animation. It's useable even by non-engineers too, and doesn't count towards the 2-embellishment cap.

Neat detail in the raid cinematic, the theme that plays when Sylvanas faces off with Xal'atath is the same one that plays at the end of the Shadowlands cinematic. Nice little way of emphasizing that it's the connection she has to Death that Xal'atath is afraid of in that moment.

Of all the changes to Survival in Midnight, I think Boomstick is the one that confuses me the most. We're leaning into the fantasy of Rexxar and the Sentinels with... a shotgun?? It's such an odd replacement for Fury of the Eagle, which fits the vibes of the whole spec way more.

I keep thinking about this, so coming back with a new crack theory: the Midnight cinematic wasn't the Light summoning the Vanguard, it was Azeroth herself. The vocals that play when Liadrin's plea finally works are the same ones used for the Worldsoul theme.

Work in progress for a little pocket dimension training room in my mage tower, akin to Akazamzarak's hat dimension.

Astalor got voice acting this build too, and he might be my favorite of the xpac so far, *especially* in the actual lines he's saying.

My main hopes for Arcane in 12.0 were that they’d let me use Arcane Missiles again and throw out an absurd amount of pink nonsense. The verdict so far on 12.1 is that they have succeeded lol

The new civilian blood elf voice acting got added to replace the old TBC pokes and, well... I like the new male guard voice, at least! He sounds like Lee Pace and that fits blood elves very well.

The new Battle Visage for Evokers is pretty smooth (even if the camera adjustments are still WIP), I absolutely foresee this being the default option for most players.

Maria Hamilton clarified her statements on the faction division in Silvermoon in Midnight, stating that only 1/3rd of the city will be Horde-only, and the other 2/3rds will be available to both factions.

I... this might be the most fundamental misunderstanding not only of the modern high elves, but the entire story of Quel'thalas in general. I legit need to make a whole thread about this once I'm done here lol

Okay, doing the elf chapter of the Midnight max level campaign, here be spoilers! Doing the Alliance version first, and then Horde after to see differences. Starting right off the bat with the premise: we're gathering ALL the elves of Azeroth as the army to retake Quel'Danas.

That was... certainly something. So we *did* make a new well with the Dawnwell? And infused it with ALL of their powers? I'm not entirely sure what makes this different or less susceptible to corruption than before, other than "because the plot says it does".

Really cool detail, the whole soundtrack of Silvermoon changes after you complete the Voidspire campaign chapter. All the tracks are converted into more somber and ominous versions, with the ambiance of the Voidstorm extra loud for bonus effect.

Trying to chronicle the Darkspear Rebellion as best I can before it goes away again. After having played through Cata and MoP again here, it's really hard to emphasize how satisfying this patch was after *four years* of buildup.

Eitrigg got some new poke lines, reflecting his place in the Sons of Lothar

New little Stay A While with Rommath and Umbric on the 12.0.7 PTR, it's... more or less the same vibes as what we got at the end of 12.0. The elves are all friends now, but Rommath is a bit grumpy about Umbric sometimes.

Okay, story time for the March on Quel'Danas campaign chapter! Here be spoilers! Starting right off the bat with a proper solo scenario, and a little cutscene to set the stage

The new AoE rotation button for Arcane Mage is *so* pretty. I'll miss Arcane Explosion, but this is going to be so much better for ranged gameplay.

It took me until now to realize that the ending of the Midnight cinematic uses the Worldsoul theme, I can't believe I rewatched it so many times without realizing lmao

Oh I... don't really like this new Lightning Bolt. The casting animation looks *amazing*, but the actual spell effect looks more like a sparky frostbolt than actual lightning. I much prefer the current one with the direct connection between the shaman's hand and the target.

Oh my god these Xal'atath joke lines in Hearthstone, I can't believe they got her VA to do a Knaifu joke *and* a 'It's me boy the PS5' reference lmao

Oh I'm very glad that Glacial Advance finally has a modern spell effect, and not ice spike models from 2014 lol

I can't expertly comment on the gameplay changes for Frost DK in 11.2 (they seem nice), but one thing that does disappoint me is the Frost Strike animation change. On live, it's one of the few remaining abilities that uses race-unique animations, and it's shame to lose that.
