Thread : What happened today at the CJP protest in-front of my eyes. I stepped out of my house this afternoon, completely oblivious, just heading out for a scheduled meeting. Within 25 minutes, I was trapped in an absolute nightmare near Connaught Place. For three grueling hours, I couldn't move forward or turn back. Cabs were completely gridlocked. Next to me, families were panicked with sick relatives inside their cars trying to reach the hospital. Even an ambulance was blocked, with absolutely no way given.

Why I support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s #VocalForLocal movement? 1. Most of the items these people make including Diyas & Clay Pots are handmade. They put in a lot of effort, love & hope in everything. 2. For most of the families, this is the only way to earn & sustain their living. 3. The big companies might not get affected but our small initiative can make someone’s festival happier. 4. It will help boost the economy on the grass root level. 5. Even the smallest of vendors are taking UPI payments. It’s a boost to the Digital India Initiative as well. 6. This is going to give a boost to the AatmaNirbhar Bharat initiative as well. 7. We might not be able to help everyone but there’s always someone only we can help. So let’s spread happiness on the festivals. “क्यूँकि ख़ुशियाँ बाँटने se बढ़ती है” । I pledge to make one family happy this Diwali, do you?
