Assessments of Empowerment Projects in Maphisa Ahead of National Independence Day Celebrations As Presidential Advisor on Investments and Empowerment, I visited Maphisa to assess the rollout of key initiatives introduced by His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa. These programmes reflect the guiding principle of “leaving no one and no place behind.” - War Veterans Housing Scheme – Our flagship project, restoring dignity and stability by providing decent homes for war veterans. - Presidential Borehole Drilling Scheme – Delivering clean water to communities, improving health and livelihoods. - Presidential Internet Scheme – Expanding digital access, empowering youth and bridging the rural-urban divide. - Presidential Solar Scheme – Bringing renewable energy to homes, schools, and clinics, ensuring sustainable development. Together, these projects form an integrated empowerment package, uplifting communities and laying foundations for inclusive growth. As we approach Independence Day, Maphisa stands as a shining example of the President’s vision in action.

Official Statement by Dr. Paul Tungwarara, Presidential Special Investment Advisor “ Today, I had the profound honor of visiting Nyanga District in Manicaland Province under the banner of the Presidential Constituency Empowerment Fund (PCEF)—a bold initiative that embodies our President’s unwavering commitment to inclusive development and national restoration. This visit was a reaffirmation of President ED Mnangagwa collective promise: to leave no Zimbabwean behind. In the spirit of unity, empowerment, and gratitude, I am proud to announce the following contributions made to uplift our communities and honor the heroes of our liberation on behalf of President ED Mnangagwa. 1. USD $50,000 to drive development in Nyanga North and Nyanga South, ensuring that progress reaches every corner of our beloved district. 2. USD $50,000 for non-combatants, whose silent sacrifices were the heartbeat of our struggle. 3. USD $50,000 for ex-political prisoners and detainees, whose courage in the face of oppression lit the path to our freedom. 4. USD $50,000 for widows of war veterans, whose resilience continues to inspire generations. 5. USD $50,000 for war collaborators, the unsung heroes who risked everything for the cause of liberation. 6. USD $20,000 toward the construction of a clinic in Nyanga South, because access to healthcare is not a privilege—it is a right. 7. 1,000 bicycles for village heads, empowering local leadership with the tools to serve their communities more effectively. 8. Two trucks of fertilizer to boost agricultural productivity and ensure food security for our people. 9. USD $2,000 to each of 10 traditional chiefs, in recognition of their enduring role as custodians of our culture and unity. These donations are investments in dignity, in legacy, and in the future of Zimbabwe. They are a salute to the past and a pledge to the generations yet to come. Let this day be remembered as a turning point—a moment when words became action, and promises became progress.
