Apple says its biggest iPhone Duo secret wasn’t the foldable itself — it was the display. But Apple claims competitors didn’t know about its key display technology. The iPhone Duo uses a custom nano-texture finish designed to reduce glare and make the fold crease less noticeable. Apple says it added extra security around the technology and kept it under wraps. That makes the Duo story more interesting than a simple “copycat” debate: Apple may have lost the surprise on the design — but it says the real innovation was still hidden.
