This is also a reminder to be careful about the life you live and the company you keep. We should not become so consumed with partying, chasing every scene, or living according to the world that we lose our spiritual awareness. The enemy is always looking for opportunities to kill, steal, and destroy, just as Jesus warned in John 10:10. When our focus is constantly on worldly distractions, we can become less alert to the spiritual battles taking place around us. Stay prayed up and covered by the blood of Jesus. The battles we face are not merely physical. As the Bible says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds” (2 Corinthians 10:4, KJV). Put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10–18), walk in wisdom, and seek the Lord daily. None of us is promised tomorrow, so let today be the day we draw closer to Christ.
