We need GMOs in Nigeria - Dr. Yemisi Asagbra. Dr. Agnes Asagbra Dr. Yemisi is the DG of National Biosafety Management Agency i.e., she is the gatekeeper of GMOs in Nigeria, and the person responsible for approving GMO maize as safe for consumption. She was replied by Professor Qrisstuberg Amua, Prof. Qrisstuberg Amua the VC of Benue State University of Agriculture, Science and Technology, who also heads the Centre for Food Safety and Agricultural Research. Let me tell a short story with date, David Hundeyin 2017: Tony Elumelu gave grant to Mohamed Dhaouafi, a young Tunisian, and founder of Cure Bionics. He received the $5,000 seed grant plus training/mentorship under the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme. His company develops affordable, 3D-printed, solar-powered bionic arms/prosthetics aimed at amputees, especially in Africa, making them lighter, more customizable, and far cheaper than traditional options. 2023: Tony Elumelu Foundation takes Dhaouafi to Davos, to showcase to the WEF. It was largely celebrated, novel to them, everyone talked about it. They were highly fascinated by it. 2026: WEF is promoting Prosthetic Limbs innovation through her own organization called, Center for Frontier Technologies and Innovation, and another organization called 3DP4ME. This was my first response to Dr. Chinonso Egemba's video on Instagram. Read it till the end: 1. You carry insectidal genes from a bacteria and put it inside maize to make the maize insecticide, and ... the maize is still normal? 2. There is NO HEALTH BASED risk assessment for this action. I have spoken to Nigerian Biosafety Management Agency on this very well, and attended their conferences; the risk assessment they did was based on a 2 Year research that checked yield and other things not health safety. 3. GMOs are pest and herbicide tolerant. This has increased the use of herbicides by over 244% in countries that keep data. 4. Citizens like you and I in countries that keep this data in no 3 above have fined the manufacturers of the Hercibide, which active ingredient is GLYPHOSATE, a known carcinogenic (cancer causing) chemical. In America, Bayer has paid over 12billion dollars to over 100,000 people in out of court settlement because of Cancer. 5. Glyphosate, GMO's evil twin is all over your farms in Nigeria. Peer reviewed research shows some sterile men were found to have high traces of Glyphosate in their semen. 6. Back to GMOs. They are patented technology. Aproko's benefactor, Bill Gates is a major patent holder and promoter of GMOs in Africa. This simply means if he decides not to sell food to you, you're in trouble. You don't know everything he's put inside the seeds. You're eating someone's intellectual property. How cringe. 7. GMOs are programmable seeds. I.e., they can program them to be F2, that means, after they reproduce twice, FARMERS HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE SEED MERCHANTS TO BUY SEED EVERY PLANTING SEASON. 8. Nos 6 and 7 simply means your country can lose their food sovereignty to GMOs. 9. The insectidal GMOs target non target organisms, depleting biodiversity. 10. Russia proscribes GMO cultivators as Terrorists. Bayer, the home country of Glyphosate has banned Glyphosate. Mexico has banned GMOs and Glyphosate. South Africa just reversed their approval of GMO Maize. Many countries are banning this thing because they are finding out THE GMOS cross pollinate with their natural variants, sterilising them. 11. US released a report that China could use GMOs as a bioweapon against them. 12. Aproko Doctor's definition of GMOs is selective breeding which is a technique in Hybridisation. All he said was within the same specie. GMO crosses the specie barrier. The example used at the 7th Biosafety Conference which I attended in person, was that IF YOU WANT A HUMAN BEING TO HAVE HORNS, THEY CAN TAKE THE GENES FROM A COW AND PUT IT INSIDE A HUMAN BEING. GMO couldn't enter Nigeria because NAFDAC was a stumbling block. So OFAB, sponsored by Bill Gates, Monsanto, USAID and others lobbied a new organization into life called the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA), through the NBMA Act of 2015 signed into law by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. We should know, that the Country Director of OFAB is currently a FG Director, head of Agric Biotechnology in the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency. Watch the pioneer DG of NBMA Rufus Ebegba (PhD) celebrate OFAB for their role in ensuring the bill was passed; a bill that allowed him approve GMOs into Nigeria on Sunday, May 1st, 2016; a weekend and public holiday. In 2002, Monsanto they paid a $50K bribe to an Indonesian official to bypass GMO cotton regulations, falsified records as “consultant fees,” and covered taxes for the scam. Despite no repeal, they faced a $1.5M fine ($1M DOJ, $500K SEC) for FCPA violations. The patent owner of all GMO approved in Nigeria is Monsanto. Tela Maize is MONSANTO87460, MONSANTO89034. Are you concerned yet? No Government official in Nigeria has come forward to declare they have received 'Consultancy Fees', but Nigeria approved GMO cotton faster than the speed of thought. It's likely we have descendants of Judas Iscariot in Government, ready to mortgage our collective future. A lot is going on offline, and you can get involved. When the most senior Agricultural officer on the continent, the just retired Commissioner of Agriculture at the African Union Ambassador Josefa Sacko says that it is Bill and Melinda Gates responsible for using money to push GMOs around, this is exactly what she was talking about. If your family members work in that NGO at Nassarawa, know that they are accomplices to one of the greatest evils on earth, and they are cursed.
