Construction workers shouldn’t earn less because teachers are paid shit. The question should be how construction workers have managed to win higher wages from their shitty bosses and why doesn’t Labor pay education workers more (considering Labor is their boss at the moment). The answer is industrial action.

In Australia, if the ceiling of your rental caves in, you have to keep paying your full rent until either you take your landlord to court, or the landlord/real estate agency agrees to a rent reduction - but the onus is on you, and not the person who’s literal job it is to manage the property.
