Nelson Mandela's spirit lives on in Glasgow where a statue was unveiled today as a permanent symbol of the struggle against Apartheid. The biggest cheer came when one speaker quoted Mandela saying: "Our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians." In 1981, Glasgow became the first city in the world to award Mandela - while he was still incarcerated - freedom of the city. The statue has been unveiled 33 years after Mandela visited Scotland ahead of being elected South Africa's president.
