I don’t know about that… this 80% Democratic city seems pretty comfortable with (and core to) World Cup success.

Ensuring Kansas Citians and our guests can get all around the City. Riding out to Arrowhead Stadium. Excited to see our improvements and areas of opportunity along the way. See you on the trail!

Downtown has changed for the better. Scars that remain include the highways cutting through that divide it, including the noise and lack of green space in the core. Before City Council this week is a proposal to add $51M of local funds to match other state and federal support.

I mean, Malört really is something. Glad to have partaken not long ago to support the many from the Chicagoland who walk among us. I don’t need it again for a little while.

If it’s the last time to catch 87 at Arrowhead, it’s been an amazing run. Thank you, Travis, for all you’ve done for our team and the Kansas City community.

We made it! My favorite part is how much space there is. My first return flight not bumping into people on the floor or wondering where the exit is. You will love the progress, Kansas City. #BetterKCI

Delighted to be on hand for the opening of the Obama Presidential Center. They had some familiar guests on hand, but the star of the show, as always, was First Lady Michelle Obama, with remarks that reminded us all to stay engaged, involved, and have hope.

The Grand Avenue pedestrian bridge is officially open. A $5M investment, the bridge opens up new connections between neighborhoods, the riverfront, and the River Market, making it easier for everyone in Kansas City to get out, walk, and explore.

I’ve proposed keeping bars at normal hours this summer: What do you think, Kansas City? I tend to believe with openings at 6am, you can still enjoy yourself quite a bit.

Long before I was in public life, I got to know Pastor Adam Hamilton Adam Hamilton . He’s been a true friend to our entire community for a generation. I am proud to endorse him as he embarks on his journey to become a US Senator from Kansas.

The people of Missouri win. Statewide leadership in Missouri loses—again. The maps are back to how they were before. Thank you to organizers and Missourians—300,000 strong—who stood up for the voices of our neighbors. (h/t MO SOS Hoskins on the baseball bat thing. It’s fun!)

Self-driving cars. What do y’all think? I didn’t mind the quiet ride, but do want to make sure we’ve got gigs for people. Would love your thoughts on autonomous vehicles in Kansas City. I also took public transit from the airport, which should be easier for all of us! 🚌🚊

Just finished our ten mile walk on Troost. As always, got to talk to neighbors, businesses, and lots of folks along the way. Not a better way to see the community. More walks ahead on Prospect, Independence Ave., and more.

Arrowhead Stadium is more than a venue; it is an integral part of Kansas City's identity. Business decisions come and go. But Arrowhead is family, it’s a tradition, and it will always be a part of Kansas City.
