It’s the first day of spring and I had the day off, so I baked a cake to celebrate surviving the winter, the warm days finally coming back, and my inspiration slowly returning. I just needed something small to lift my mood, and honestly, this cake did exactly that. X,DD Sometimes living this life can feel unbearably heavy. It’s hard to believe that something good will replace the bad. But you can just keep doing small, useful things for yourself, even without believing. In this world, it’s actions that matter, not fantasies or words :> I still feel extremely tired. But maybe that’s just normal, and I should try to do something that brings me a little joy right now

Thank you so much 💖 Yeah, first I start with a rough sketch, it usually looks super ugly at the beginning, and then I redraw over it 2–3 times depending on how complex the perspective/poses is. I often draw objects all the way through so that a hand or something else doesn’t end up attached randomly. + I use a perspective grid to make it easier to plan out the space on the canvas. One piece of advice I can give, you always need to be ready to fix what you’ve already done a few times. That way it turns out more or less like what you had in mind.
