Several candidates have now accused each other of the vile act of.. helping sick children in Gaza. Tonight, Yoseph Haddad is firing back with his adamant denial: Come on guys. You know me. I would never ever help sick kids in Gaza. I was only pretending to in order to make Israel look good! There truly is no bottom.

Could you do it? Could you speak out against injustice if it meant giving up your life of comfort and safety? If it put your family, your friends, your children in danger? Since news of the film made it to Israel, Hebrew social media has been flooded with threats to the filmmakers and their families. “Who’s coming with me to the airport? We need as many people as possible to receive their faces.” (Hebrew idiom) “My fists will receive their faces.” “Let’s make sure they never have another moment of peace for the rest of their lives.” “His family is about to learn the real meaning of Collateral Damage.” Some of the threats coming from well-known figures. One guy doxxed Yuval’s parents from his business’ page. Unlike other collective threats of violence, not one journalist calling to turn down the volume. All of them knowing there will be no consequences if anything happens. I understand many of the points that have been raised about who is believed and who gets a platform and framing and privilege. I really do. But, right now, I’m asking: Could you do it? You, who won’t even use your real name or photo on here. Would you be able to do what they did? (If your response to me is “journalists in Gaza do it all the time,” but you aren’t one of them, then what you’re saying is certainly correct but not an answer to my question.)

This is Lizzy Savetsky’s take on Clavicular. TMDL (Too Moronic; Didn’t Listen): “I don’t think bringing him to Israel was a bad idea, but the execution was poor.” Two things: 1.There is officially no such thing as universal outrage over r*pe or being a Nazi anymore. It does not exist. Instead, where you stand on two issues I was taught were pretty bad no matter what now depends entirely on which side you’re on. If you’d like to prove me wrong, please send me the name of someone with a large platform who has criticized the following four men in equal measure: Platner, Clavicular, Trump, and Piker. Go ahead. I’ll wait. 2. I don’t believe in smart people and dumb people. I subscribe to Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences, which posits that there are eight distinct categories of intelligence, all of which we possess to varying degrees. Having said that, if you’re someone who still believes this woman is good for the Jewish people, you are not a smart person. You are a dumb person.
