At just 18 years old, racing as a wildcard, the long-haired rookie went bar-to-bar and put massive pressure on the ultimate titans of 500cc racing: Mick Doohan and Kevin Schwantz. Abe pushed the absolute limits and took the lead, riding like a man possessed. Sadly, he crashed out with just three laps to go, but his fearless performance changed the sport forever: 🏆 The Contract: Legend Kenny Roberts was so impressed he signed Abe to a full-time world championship ride. 🐐 The Birth of "Rossifumi": A teenage Valentino Rossi watched a tape of this race on repeat, became an instant fan, and adopted the nickname "Rossifumi" in his honor.
