Canvassing in Clacton yesterday and out of nowhere, this 1945 Scammell truck pulls up. As a Type 1304, this was built as a heavy-duty recovery vehicle, I believe, equipped to salvage tanks and armour and more. There aren’t a lot left, as you can imagine, so it was a real treat to see this awesome bit of British engineering on the road!
