A viral video is sparking outrage online after a white woman identified as Julie Marie Windle, whose Facebook name is reportedly Marie Julie, was allegedly caught calling her biracial son the N-word. Her son says the behavior is nothing new, claiming he dealt with racist comments from his mother his entire life and that now his own children are beginning to witness it too. He also alleges Windle works as a nurse director at University of Toledo Medical Center and has previously been investigated over accusations of racism in the workplace.

The white racist host of No Jumper, Adam22, openly thanks his guest for declaring he “bangs on Blacks only ” while conveniently letting Mexicans and Whites slide. This is yet another reminder that anti-Blackness is the universal currency of white supremacy and some of our own people are complicit in helping in our destruction. The degradation of Black life is still being applauded in plain sight and we need more voices to call it out.

The landlord's attitude changed. The neighbors' attitude changed. The welcome disappeared. His presence was not judged by his character, qualifications, or ability to pay. It was judged by the color of his skin. This is what racism looks like when it operates in plain sight. No masks. No excuses. No misunderstandings. Just discrimination.

Black athletes go from being drafted into the NFL to signing a lucrative contract with millions, to marrying a white woman. It’s happening so often it’s starting to seem normal. My position is when a black person marries outside of their race, it symbolizes a disconnect from the Black community and is a reinforcement of white supremacy. Black athletes who amass significant wealth often have the potential to reinvest in Black-owned businesses, charities, schools, and initiatives that uplift their community. However, when wealth is shared with or passed down to non-Black families, it could diminish the economic base of Black communities.
