Never Forgive - Never Forget When river cauvery & kollidam carried more blood than water !! 1323 Invasion: Ulugh Khan (Muhammad bin Tughlaq) invaded Srirangam ( TN) via water while camping in Samayapuram, intending to destroy the temple and idols. Sacrifice of 12,000 Vaishnavas: Unprepared devotees held off the invasion and gave their lives in massive numbers along the Kaveri and Kollidam rivers so that sages like Swami Vedanta Desikar and Pillai Lokachar could safely evacuate the deity (Utsavamurthy) and sacred scriptures. 40 Years in Exile: The sages continued worshiping the deity in hiding for 40 years until Hindu forces regained power and restored the deity to Srirangam. Neeliyar Bhagavathi is a Theyyam ritual conducted in the northern part of Kerala, India. The term Neeliyar Bhagavathi refers to the goddess of the Mangattuparamba Neeliyar temple; the ritual is mainly performed in this temple. This Theyyam is usually performed in the evening, during sunset. The goddess Neeliyar Bhagavathi has temples dedicated to her in different parts of Kannur including Cherukunnu, Eranjikkal, Mathamangala, etc. This particular Theyyam is performed by the Vannan caste. A few musical instruments, like Chenda are used during the performance.

In the land of Jesus / Yesappa Discovery of ancient Pallava/Chola-era archaeological remains in the Tindivanam–Villupuram region of Tamilnadu. A Pallava-period Kotravai (war goddess) sculpture has reportedly been discovered. The sculpture is described as being around 1,300 years old. Also an ancient stone inscription/sluice-related inscription found in or near a lake, associated with the chola period. Will TN Govt protect and preserve this as part of the region’s heritage? Visuals show researchers examining the stone sculpture and the inscription, including detailed shots of the ancient Tamil inscriptions.

The guards and temple staff informed him that it was closing time and requested him to return at 4 PM, when the temple would reopen for darshan. However, he allegedly refused to listen and wanted to enter through the Rajagopuram gate, which has been closed due to renovation work. It is said that after the fire accident six years ago, the entrance was shut for the public, and the authorities had announced that it would be reopened only after the Kumbabhishekam. But Mustafa reportedly stated that he had come only to supervise the temple work. This eventually led to arguments, following which he left the premises, it seems!! 🙄 Moreover, though all are disappointed by this act -no one wants to go against the new government - so the full story is not coming out !! "Annamalai Beedi" Branding in the name of Bagawan Shiva and "Thirunamam" worn by Bagawan Balaji as the logo!! - The owner is Mohammed Jaleel from Vepampal, Tamil Nadu. Why no Mohammed Beedi or Ayesha Beedi ?? Look closely at this picture. In this picture, you can see 'beedis' (hand-rolled cigarettes). The name of the beedi is 'Annamalai Beedi.' They have used the 'Thirunamam' (a sacred Vaishnavite symbol) as the logo Hinduism has two major sects: Shaivism and Vaishnavism. By using the name 'Annamalai' (a reference to Bagawan Shiva), they have disrespected Shaivism; and by using the 'Thirunamam' symbol, they have disrespected Vaishnavism. Who is behind this shameful act? A person named Mohammed Jaleel from Vepampal, Tamil Nadu. Did Mohammed Jaleel not find any other name? Why couldn't you name it 'Mohammed Nabi Beedis' or 'Ayesha Beedis'? Why must you needlessly insult the name of our God? I don't understand the motive behind this. Generally, many people comment saying, 'Is this even a problem? There are so many other issues in the country.'
