Hey Romeo! "I Don't Wanna Go Down to the Basement," live at CBGB in 1974. One track from the debut that barely made it onto the setlists back in the 70s, and it's a real good one. Listen to the studio version: #Ramones50

Tim Armstrong started as a devoted Ramones fan, spinning ‘Rocket to Russia’ with his brother Jeff, and eventually forming a band inspired by them. That band, Rancid, went on to share the stage with the Ramones at their final performance at The Palace in 1996.

50 years of loud, fast, and unapologetic Rock ‘n’ Roll. On this day in 1974, the Ramones—Tommy, Joey, Dee Dee, and Johnny—made their debut at CBGB on the Bowery, New York City. Happy 50th anniversary to the band that changed everything. #Ramones50
