So, decades after Lewis penned a 'takedown' on Buffett in The New Republic, Lewis finds himself by chance speaking with Buffett’s publicist. Buffett’s publicist says to Michael: “Warren has a question for you.” “What’s the question?” “Is this the same Michael Lewis who [in 2008] bought Berkshire Hathaway - as cheap as its ever been?” [Yes] “And is this the same Michael Lewis who sold two and four years ago? "Warren would like to know - why did you sell?” [It was a charitable donation] “He’ll be relieved to hear [that].” THE GUY TRACKS SPECIFIC $BRK PARTNERS FOR YEARS. ...and possibly runs version control of his shareholder registry in his head.
