Edwin Sifuna’s nickname is EDU, and his favorite street snack is smokie pasua with chilli. He also said his favorite app is X (Twitter), because he gets first-hand information and can easily interact with mwananchi. He encouraged the youth to work on themselves and avoid putting unnecessary pressure on themselves to live an “upper-class” lifestyle. Edwin Sifuna finished by saying, “ hii ndio mwaka wa kuforce, yaani mtake msitake tutamuita Rais wa sita!” #sisindiosifuna

“Sisi Ndio Sifuna” 🔥 When it started, many people thought it was just a fad. But a few of us knew it was the future of Kenyan politics. In just six months, Linda Mwananchi and the Sisi Ndio Sifuna movement have gained incredible momentum, growing faster than many established political parties in Kenya. Edwin Sifuna has always encouraged us to register as voters and, most importantly, to remember to show up and vote when the time comes. The real power is in the ballot. Hii moto ya magazeti bado inawaka imegeuka gold kuwa lava! 😭😂🔥 #SisiNdioSifuna #SifunaWaKenya #LindaMwananchi

The day Raila Omollo Odinga tapped into Edwin Sifuna’s body, instead of joining the other spirits of politics, was the day Edwin Sifuna stood in front of all ODM mourners who were feeling very sad about the loss of Mzee Raila. Edwin Sifuna stood strong at the podium, in an orange shirt, and quoted the last wish of Mzee Raila Omollo Odinga, where he clearly stated that ODM will be in the 2027 presidential race, and they will only be in the broad-based coalition if the 10-point agenda is met within 100 days. That moment, for me, was more than politics. It was about carrying forward the wishes, principles and political legacy that Mzee Raila left behind. But as you can check from the news materials, youths have been killed, and some have even lost their lives while in police custody. The health sector is not working at all. Mwananchi is struggling, and the very issues that ODM promised to fight for are still staring us in the face. This is why I believe Sifuna understood the assignment. He didn't stand there to replace Raila. He stood there to carry the torch. And since that day, I have looked at Edwin Sifuna differently. Because sometimes, leadership is not about taking someone's position. It is about having the courage to continue the journey when the person who inspired it is no longer there. Mzee Raila may be gone, but the dream, the struggle and the responsibility to fight for a better Kenya cannot be buried with him. That orange shirt was not just a colour that day. It was a reminder. The struggle continues. 🇰🇪🧡

Policy positions are articulated in a manifesto, not in random video clips. A manifesto is the document that clearly lays out what a candidate intends to do once elected into office. It gives citizens an opportunity to examine, question, and hold leaders accountable for their promises. Edwin Sifuna has consistently called out the arrogance of leaders in government and reminded them that leadership must operate within the limits of the law and the Constitution. He pointed out that the Constitution separates the different arms of government and that leaders must respect those boundaries. If you are the President, you cannot simply act as though you are an MP and directly dictate to Members of Parliament from your party on how to introduce, push, or amend motions. Sifuna also spoke about William Ruto's approach to leadership, arguing that his arrogance has made him unwilling to listen to criticism or opposing views. As Sifuna put it, Ruto would not listen to him regardless of how strongly he makes the argument. #SisiNdioSifuna #SifunaWaKenya #LindaMwananchi

Edwin Sifuna is such a simple and grounded leader. He has always spoken about leadership starting from home, because leadership is not always about making noise or seeking applause. Not everything needs to be announced before it gets done. Sometimes, leadership simply means taking responsibility, doing what needs to be done, and getting things moving. Tukiwa na huyu pale State House, I’m sure every ministry will be flowing, systems will work, and government will finally feel like it is working for us. Omwami Edwin sifuna ata kwake yeye upika na sazingine pia he helps with home duties. He is a responsible man even at home.
